Development Roadmap

This document outlines some of changes that are expected in future releases of JSP Controls Tag Library. This is provided for informational purposes only, it does not guarantee that the changes will be implemented, nor it provides specific timeframe for such changes.

Initial Development Releases, versions 0.x through 1.0RC

These versions do not guarantee to keep compatibility from release to release. In fact, the compatibility will likely be broken. These versions are intended for preliminary acquaintance with the product and serve as a source for user comments and improvements.

Nevertheless, starting from version 0.6 the library should not see a lot of changes in tag nomenclature, functionality and low-level API.

Version 0.6

Solidify API, deprecate Attach tag, Make use of Behaviour.js library, remove hardcoded Javascript from tags, reinstate hidden field with reload address.

Version 0.7

Implement partial submit for radiobuttons and checkboxes.

Version 0.8

Implement partial submit for text fields, provide support for validation and instant error messages.

Version 0.9

Code review, create appropriate unit tests, prepare for 1.0 release.

Version 1.0

Summer 2006, first official release.
